Most women have at one point or another been a bridesmaid. They know what it's like to get fitted for a dress they'll likely spend a lot of money on and only wear once before banishing it to the back of their closet. A really great trend that's taking off is mismatched and patterned dresses. Pick out a color scheme, length, style, or a certain pattern you would like your bridesmaids to wear and then let them choose the rest! Not only do they photograph beautifully, it gives your bridesmaids the opportunity to show off their own unique and individual style. It's also really great for a bridesmaid on a budget...give them the guidelines and then let them find something that works for them. Check out just a few of the examples we found below!

Last Thursday, October 25th, Wilderness Ridge hosted its first themed Halloween party-the Speakeasy Soiree and it was a good time had by all who attended. Everyone came dressed in their best 1920's attire...lots of flappers, feathers and pearls and men dressed in dapper suits topped off with fedoras and suspenders. There were bartenders on hand to make authentic classic cocktails, while our banquet chef, Rachel, made various hors d'oeuvres guests were able to snack on while taking a break from dancing. The dance floor was full most of the night with the DelRay Ballroom providing dance lessons. Wilderness Ridge named John Tavlin best dressed. He pulled off a very convincing "Al Capone" and even brought with him a violin case Al Capone was known to carry. It was a very fun evening for all who attended--we already can't wait til next year's themed Halloween party!
